{"id":587,"date":"2013-06-17T09:16:41","date_gmt":"2013-06-17T09:16:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/libraryastrophysics.wordpress.com\/?p=587"},"modified":"2013-06-17T09:16:41","modified_gmt":"2013-06-17T09:16:41","slug":"copy-right","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/library.iiap.res.in\/collaborate\/?p=587","title":{"rendered":"Copy right?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In continuation to our blog news titled \u201cWhy students need the right to copy\u201d posted on April 29, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In November 2012, The Association of Students for Equitable Access to Knowledge\u201d (ASEAK) was formed to represent students side and they filed an application for removing the injunction order against the Rameshwari Photocopying services to supply \u201ccourse packs\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The publishers blame the Rameshwari Photocopying services, who is \u201cneither the creator nor the ultimate user of the content.\u201d And explains their solution that licences be procured from the Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO) by the institutes themselves which could then themselves of the photocopying and distributing the \u201ccourse packs\u201d to students.
