The theory of time-dependent radiative transfer is important in the studies of transient phenomena taking place in some d the astrophysical objects. Time-dependence of the radiation field must be considered if the relaxation time of the radiation
field is comparable to or longer than the characteristic changes in the properties of the medium. It must also be considered if the~e is a temporal change in the impinging radiation on the medium.
